I'm Becky Epton - Chartered Marketer, Chartered Manager, and founder of The Automated Explorer. I train marketing teams and freelancers to redesign their workflows using AI and automation, so they can stop drowning in busywork and start delivering the results that actually matter.
For nearly two decades I worked in marketing at one of the most demanding, fast-moving media environments in the world. I led on digital marketing strategy, performance and operations for BBC World Service marketing - my job was to find ways for teams to deliver more, faster, without burning out.
When AI tools started transforming what was possible, I didn't just experiment - I went deep. I mapped how these tools could slot into real workflows, for real teams, solving real problems.
I left the BBC in 2025 because I wanted to understand deeper what marketing teams needed in order to adopt AI usefully. And what they actually need is someone who understands how marketing teams work - the pressures, the stakeholders, the metrics - and can show them exactly where AI can help - and more importantly, where it doesn't. Human judgement, taste and development is at the forefront of how I approach AI and automation.
Most AI training starts with "here's what ChatGPT can do." I start with "show me your actual workflow" - then we find the 20% of changes that drive 80% of the results.
25 years in marketing at Viacom (now Paramount) and the BBC across all disciplines means I understand the workflows, the stakeholders, and the metrics - and where automations can ease the pressure.
Time saved is only useful if it goes somewhere valuable. I help teams track the real ROI - not vanity metrics, but the changes that actually show up in your reporting.
Whether you're a freelancer building your own systems or a team that needs to change how it works - there's a session that fits where you are right now.
